On 16 November 2020, the European Tender platform TED announced that Scorion will become Maastricht University’s new digital e-portfolio platform for the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML).

Extracted from the publication: In several FHML programmes, a portfolio is used to support the learning and assessment process. Students are associated with a mentor who guides them intensively in the development of their competencies. This makes the portfolio a central learning, guidance and assessment instrument. The digital portfolio system will support the students and staff of the faculty in the learning, guidance and assessment process, and can be tailored to the specific requirements and wishes of the various courses in the faculty.

Scorion is a platform for Programmatic Assessment and learning in the workplace and is developed by Parantion Groep B.V., leading provider of e-portfolios in the Netherlands for higher education and academic education. The digital portfolio has been developed in close cooperation with universities to monitor the development of students and/or professionals. Due to the growing interest in Programmatic Assessmentworldwide, there has been a strong increase in the use of Scorion within and outside the Netherlands, including South Africa, Australia, China, Germany and Belgium.

Parantion is very pleased with this grant, especially because Maastricht University is considered worldwide to be one of the forerunners in the field of programmatic assessment.
